It’s really amazing what a tragedy can reveal to oneself. Whether it's a hidden courage or a strong underlying belief or an unexplainable toughness or even an undeniable ugliness, we’ll keep constructing theories that will soon -on the impact of tragedy- be self-destroyed. We’ll adopt principles that we can't keep our loyalty towards. We’ll throw promises around without thinking of the possible consequences. But all we need is a tragedy to have those lies destructed.
We keep complaining about the number of tragedies we had to go through. And we start looking for someone to blame. But the truth is: the more tragedies we have the more blessed we are, because you get to know the real you, not the artificial one you create throughout your life.
My pray would be for god to:
Give me the strength and patience
To stand in the blowing wind of tragedies,
And the sight to know the wisdom behind them
Protect me from Anger, regret and loss of hope…
Amen
