i was sucked into reading one of Chuck Palahniuk's novels named: Invisible monsters, literally sucked into it. The novel is really disturbing and sick, but there's something genius about it that i can not point out. Chuck is really a freak, and you'd know if you ever watched Fight club. The novel talks about the meaning of beauty and love. there's a lot of twists, and i mean A LOT, but it somehow became predicted near the end, but nevertheless enjoyable. It was really humorous at parts, but the kind of perverted humor. the idea was to create a soap-opera-like novel, with the whole exaggerated twists and theatrical dialogue.
"Hysteria is impossible without an audience."
"Nothing of me is original. I am the combined effort of everybody I’ve ever known."
"Everybody here thinks the whole story is about them. Definitely that goes for everybody in the world."
I read Invisible monsters as a PDF, but I'm certainly going to pick up another novel for the author as soon as possible: "Choke" may be or "lullaby"...
beauty is sometimes found in the ugliest places...
